Morning folks. I am 41 and brand new to the Insurance industry. I have read numerous threads on here, both good and bad, but I am still unsure of which captive to go with. I have my P&C license and need advice on the best captive to work with in Colorado. Thank you in advance. Also, I'm noticing MANY SF agents hiring here. I'm not sure if that's a good sign or bad sign.

Are you talking about being an agency owner, or a producer within a captive office? I highly advise against going captive as you can more easily end your life w/ a gun..jumping off a bridge etc.

As far as agency ownership (again if for some deranged reason you want to go captive) I'd say Nationwide or Erie would be your best bet. Allsnake is wretched, State Farm's new contracts are trash & Farmer's will fizzle out quick & turn into another Allsnake.

Now if you find a nice sized Allsnake book for sale then maybe you can buy an income steam & simply maintain it.
