Independent Pharmacies and Part D

I have an independent pharmacy here that is listed on medicare.gov twice. Once for the pharmacy and once for their institutional business. The problem is that there is no way to identify this on the medicare website so there is two different potential prices for the copays and we have even seen the actual copay not be either of them. This is extremely misleading and difficult to give good service to the clients. Anyone else had this issue? Thoughts on how to fix this? It has been brought to their (the pharmacy) attention a couple years ago but nothing was done.

Just a wag, but I doubt a pharm has any juice with mcare.gov to make changes. Same for the carriers . . . no influence on the Mcare.gov gurus.

Mom & pop pharm's are usually the red haired step-child in anything.

Beyond that, it is rare that a M&P is a preferred pharm for a drug plan.

Finally, ask the pharm which plans they like and maybe they can/will share copay info with you for your clients.
