Are they willing to stay connected to the group?
Positive or negative outlook on life ?
Trusting or distrusting in general?

Extended ride a longs are important to me and allow me to build a relationship with the agent. I don't operate how most of you all do on here though and understand that's very time consuming. I've only really been burned a few times.

I'm very upfront with all this too.

Aren't you glad you're not riding a horse and buggy, without shock absorbers, at 5-miles/per hour max, across dirt roads and gravel, without A/C in the hot summers, or heat in the cold winters, without spare wheels or rubber tires, etc., etc., etc....
Just because what you are attempting was unsuccessful for the previous guy(s) who tried, is no guarantee you will fail also. As I stated earlier, none of us would enjoy the conveniences we do today, if not for visionaries and people who weren't afraid to blaze a new trail, such as yourself. There used to be a time when the inconceivable was television sets, internet, GPS, radios, traffic lights, automobiles, penicillin, indoor toilets, air condition, automatic washer and dryers, dishwashers, electric refrigerators,... Need I continue? I can guarantee you a pessimist once said, "I have a very good feeling how it will go." I say, 'Do your own thing!' I believe you will be successful at whatever you conceive imaginable. I don't care how many of us failed before you!

Thought you were describing transportation 50 years from now if the anti oil folks get their way.

I found out a long time ago some sales people are just very loyal to the hiring training manager and as long as they are happy and get help when needed and aren't asked unreasonable things that they will stick around because they need the environment and structure. Hire sheep and wolves will naturally evolve but they will be the ones to leave hopefully they still appreciate you. I always had a better track record with green peas with lower needs they could become successful quicker then we'd work on their wants. The hot shots often couldn't figure it out fast enough to survive and meet their needs and out the door they went.

People on this board pan a person when somebody's skeptical of something . It's all NEGATIVE . He wanted opinions and that's what he's getting . It might work for him . But past history as Josh said is against success . The facts are the facts . 5% of people make it in this business . Cole's a great guy and I'm sure a great teacher . But he can't control Human beings and their desire ti succeed. All his guys tell him their hungry and will do what it takes too suceed. How man guys can take a cold list and door knock it all day and make a good living ? Few . And that's the same odds Cole has of making it work big . Sure he's fronting the leads abd appts . But he's probably giving them 40-50% which he has to . A couple of chargebacks which we all have and they see a debit balance and they'll lose their excitement. Those be the facts. I will say if he makes it work he'll have greater loyalty. High producers are looking for better deals just like IMO's want higher comp .

We had a downline at one time. Guy was smart as a whip. Works at Tesla now doing some cool things.

But he got sucked into Equis and designed his own IVR Mortgage Protection lead/mailer combo and we recruited him away. Actually, we still sell those leads and one of his kids, who's still in college, handles fulfillment.

Anyway, he wanted to do something similar. Put people on a 50% contract. He would supply the leads and he had appointment setters. All they would need to do is run the appointments and close x%.

I told him I didn't think it would work, but I was curious to see if it would. And he was underneath another manager of mine and we all discussed what the fallout could be and they were both willing to accept the risk and responsiblity.

You know what happened? People didn't run their scheduled appointments lol. They just wouldn't go. They get a little rejection and the next appointment was too far away.

When you hire people and give them free leads or even pay for their leads out of the backend commission, you're really hiring employees. Employees need a boss and structure. They need an office to meet up at regularly, if not daily.

And I say all this when I'm the 1 in a 1000 that this would work for. When I got in this business, I was broke. Going to school full time and delivering pizzas. Now I did have a wife that was making good money so I didn't have to make a lot.

But I still put in the work. Got a dialer, a list, someone from the forum helped me with a script and started making calls. Then door knocked my leads. Then took my profits to start purchasing leads.

The difference was putting in the work. I was just talking to my brother about that. As an entrepreneur, I will spend lots of time and money and not seeing any fruit for my labor for 3-6 months.

Successful people can see out that far. Employees cannot.

I'm running this system with guys who have a ton of experience. @bboman23 to name 1 of these high level guys. Those systems don't typically work because there isn't a finger on the pulse of the business. Guys are just wanting to sit back and let their system do the work for them, working from their pajamas. The difference is we have BOTH. We have audited financials to the penny, so if there is an issue with an agent we will know as soon as it pops up. We are also willing to eat, sleep and breathe this business. Whatever we end up with will 100% be profitable because we refuse to fail. If an agent calls me at 11pm I answer it. If something loses money we change course.

Anyone super smart and able to work at Tesla wouldn't be in this business haha I could have seen that coming.

you just didn't have enough time or were hiring wrong people. It seems like people who contract complete newbies always try to do it as quick as possible. You gotta be in the car with these people daily for a while.

a lot of work and not enough contract spread in my opinion but I love taking someone and watching them go from knowing zero about something to being successful. If I didn't have that I wouldn't be in the business.

I come from very different mindset though, never handed out contracts like most of y'all. Not saying better or worse there is just different aspects. I like projects.
