Info for a new Life and Health Agent in TN

I just got life and health license in TN. Just getting started and was wondering if agents paying for their own leads is pretty standard in the industry. I have looked into a few companies. Can someone give me some good companies to start with, even better if leads are provided.

Independent agents buy their own leads. When you contract with agencies that claim to furnish you free or heavily discounted leads, they will usually turn out to be the most expensive leads you can get because of what you give up in commission levels..
