Info for Newbies and Questions for the Pros

NSFs, Non Takens, early lapses are a part of the business no matter the source of your lead... Might as well get used to it even while you take steps to keep it to a minimum.

To all readers especially newbies: I want to clarify that I was only venting hence the haha's! I didn't intend to start a war of words with or between anyone...

Everyone should decide for themselves if this is the business for them!

Yes I selected my zip codes for the telemarketers to work based on proximity to my home and number of potential leads knowing full well what I may be in store for. And I will continue to work these areas and others but I will attempt to develop my own leads for perhaps $3-5 a piece as opposed to $22-25 each for an outside source to do it for me because I have the time to devote to this. Others may not?

And I accept full responsibility for any business I write that does not stick...that is always on ME!

My venting was simply that - to vent...

Some clients will say whatever and whenever and of course we never know how their day or month is going!! I begrudge no one for their situations. And of all things I certainly don't begrudge those buying 'Food' :) Hell I even think my Directv and beer purchases are a waste of money - maybe even some that I spend on Food!

I can of course at my choosing take issue with ones I believe waste my time...

As for the 2 NSF' ed policies I was upset that I made special effort to get appointed with an additional company in order to write a difficult case on the husband after I believed I had legitimally identified and addressed their needs and desires!

No harm no foul I will try to help these individuals still if they want to be helped that is all I can offer.

As for my statement regarding living off the government I stand by my displeasure with that! However - The areas where my leads live is irrelevant to that... and the demographics are certainly irrelevant to that!!

Again wasn't trying to start a war of words - I was just venting...

Do any of you FE Gurus know a reputable direct mail house that does FE mailers that actually mentions the word "insurance" and doesn't try to hoodwink the seniors into thinking they're getting something for free? Or is this not allowed on the forum?

I use Leads 2 Success
They have insurance in the mailing. They have about 15 different mailings you can chose from along with the color. $345 per thousand. Cheaper if you belong to ILLIAA
