I have been captive way too long. How do I become independent? What about E&O? Do I have to become a corp or something? What are other benefits besides the higher comission? Thanks for your help. This site has been great.

What lines are you moving from and into? L&H is a very, very different beast from P&C.
Hope this answers your questions:
There are companys out there that will pay an agents E&O for health, life & accident. You will not be required to go captive, corp, LLC etc..The other benefits besides higher contracts, leads provided, office support and product training are better, more flexible work hours and the list goes on. Contact me and I would be glad to discuss this in debth and provide an Indy work model.

DAVIDD1- I am only interested in life, accident and health. I want to stay with the senior market. I would appreciate any feedback and help as I am a total novice to going indy. This site has been so helpful!

I am in Illinois and want to work with med. supps, FE, LTC and possibly annuities. Can't PM yet. Do you work for a GA or are you the GA?
