Is my auto insurance guy lying to me?

Update: State Farm corporate just emailed me and said they are starting an internal investigation of my agent and his office. That was good news. I'm so happy about it, I don't worry about the haters posting.

post the email as i dont believe they stated they are opening an investigation of the agent & office over this. They may be opening research into your policy & details, but nothing you have stated rises to warrant investigation of agent by the carrier or by the state insurance bureau. This sounds like paperwork issues of complying with the insurance carriers document handling & what they deem as satisfactory proof...................keep in mind, insurance carriers change the rules, processes & policies on an almost daily basis, in some cases without broadcast notifications to the agents depending on how small it is.

Said the entitled Baby Boomer, who can't believe GenZ is smarter
LOL--there it is, calling everyone you dont agree with a boomer & of course you are wrong. I am in the Gen X/Millenial crossover years.

Labor shortages all around, customer service is bad everywhere currently. Mistakes happen & you are jumping to assume people are lying so they can make another $5-$10 one time in commission before you leave them. If I was an agent or staff for State Farm, I would probably offer you the $94 to leave now just to not have to interact with you if you go from 0-99 so quickly

Still your fault. Or somebody's fault. Not fair!

18, I wonder what she does for a living?

If she is right, she is right. Good on her to find the problem, However, calling in air strikes and nuclear options is a bit, well...

Boomer! :huh::twitchy:

Al3x Lee, et al -- the state Dept of Insurance has 'talked to' my agent, and my agent is withdrawing his invoice, as we speak. Thanks, everyone!!!! Don't let these agents rip you off! The Dept of Insurance gal said 'she never heard of an agent' trying the excuse that my agent did.

And I've only see a handful of babies that cry as loud as you do. MOST people don't take miniscule issues to the department of insurance, so no wonder she'd never heard of it.

You've done the world such a great service with your meaningless crusade, thanks so much.

Good luck with your next insurance provider, since I'm assuming you'll leave State Farm over this, because if you don't, the hypocrisy would be too incredible to bear.

I think that likely you won't though, because you're so motivated by a meager $94, that you would rather sweep your pride under the rug to save a few extra bucks, than stand behind your morals (It's a large assumption for me to make that you have any).

My guess is that you stay with state farm, you continue to be a thorn in peoples side, and feel like you've somehow 'won'. Congratulations.
