Is Your Office All Electronic?

Moving in that direction. Takes time to scan all the damn files to the computer though, removing all staples, etc. I am about 2/3 of the way finished. Probably should have hired someone to scan them all.

I should know this, but are .pdf's able to be searched for individually when you do a search of your documents. Say, the search is able to "read" the pdf and pull up a specific clients policy?

Also, how do you digitally capture signatures for your clients?

Depends on what type of pdf file you make. Some types of pdf's are searchable, some aren't. My scanner software tells me this, I don't think about it much.

I use docusign for digitally capturing signatures. Works well. More and more carriers are accepting this without any issues.

For actual ink signatures, I just scan the signed document. Only once had an issue. A carrier wanted me to fax the signed document, I asked if they wanted me to email it instead. They said no, they need the original signature faxed to them. I said okay. I faxed them the scanned document. They were happy.

I have the scanner! I have a huge file room...I have started storing all of my life/health files electronically just haven't moved forward with the others yet.
