Interesting the first guy on his testimonial,
Rob Stoddard. "had known John for 10 years". DOI says he has been licensed since 2009.
Maybe they were friends before or he let his license lapse?

Reminds me of a guy I used to know. He ran a small business designing websites for people. His business website had testimonial after testimonial of people raving about his services.
I asked him, "Alan, how do you get these people to say all these great things about your business? You've only been doing this for 3 months!"
His response, "I wrote all those and made the names up. I've only had 1 client since I opened and he hasn't paid the bill."
My first month in the business my manager took me on a medicare appointment to a shack in the middle of nowhere. After we helped the gentlemen enroll into his dual eligible plan, he wouldn't let us leave until we both took a shot of gin.
Years later I ran into my former trainer, who is now a financial adviser. He gave me a brochure, and sure enough the first testimonial was from Mr. Gin and Juice: " I trust Bob with my most important financial decisions, he keeps my finances solvent in these turbulent times".
