Well, they hadn't invented "Super Size" yet, so maybe we ate just as junky, but a lot less of it!:D

Seriously, though. In those days, junk food like McD's was an occasional treat, not daily fare.
Yelp, we ate a lot of fresh fruits and vegetables in season and home canned fruits and vegetables in the winter. There were no fast food restaurants and I could easily count on my fingers (probably on one hand) the number of times I ate in a restaurant before I joined the USAF when I was 17.
