I am a new insurance agent just starting out and I would like to document my first year.
The reason being,

I am a new agent I got my license in 10/2012 for L&H and P&C for WA and OR. I have been working mostly as a CSR for another agent.
I am targeting the construction industry; General Contractors and Specialty trades products include: GL, Commercial Auto, Building and Income, tools policies, and bonds.
The reasons for targeting this market are: agent I work under has experience in this industry, there are tons of them around and I can easily find out when their GL policy expires.
The reason being,
- Get some couching from other more experienced veterans on here to give me some pointers, suggestions and a way to avoid some of the problems that seem to cripple new agents.
- I really like journey threads and this forum does not have any.(if you know of one please post a link)
- I think this will be a valuable resource of what to expect your first year, (this could also become a inspirational story or a cautionary tale)
- I think this is a good way to get my post count up and get to know some of the other agents on here.
