Kaiser Can't Be Trusted!

My comments were not intended to be a "beating" and I apologize if it came across that way. But again, as brokers we put ourselves out there as a resource. In my 28 years I have seen many, many instances of misunderstanding and miscommunications similar to yours. Another post asks a good point, if in fact it was a good group to be recertified, why did KP not recertify? Also, why did you not follow-up?

I admit it's easy to get caught up in the frustration of this, but use it as a learning experience and improve for the future.

Franz...because people at Kaiser screwed up and we're going through the "cya" part of this now. Carve outs were ruled to be discriminatory by HCR but just recently (this week) Kaiser & Health Net are allowing them to be done as there was a break in the rules.

Al...I pretty much never agree with you but on this I do completely. I have had mixed results with this forum. But I should have known better. I see more and more ego by a small number of agents on this forum. It's as if it is another "good ol boys club".

Funny part is that most who try to act tough and better than everyone else probably hid under their desk when HCR hit and refused to stand up for themselves or others. They are the same agents who complain but never had the guts to organize or fight for what they have. They are the same agents who want others' to do their fighting for them. I know you and I disagree Al on HCR but I think you get the picture.

Al, thanks for the help (imagine that). I do have my rep. in on this who is helping to resolve this. As of last night, looks like Kaiser is going to try to work something out as they should.

@leeva...you need to read better. The Group was certified and I did follow up. I have names and dates of who I spoke with. You indented to to be adversarial and better than me. Otherwise you would have had something constructive to say.

So I spoke to several people at Kaiser to see what they needed. Me and the Group complied and submitted all of the paperwork requested. I then call Kaiser to confirm that they processed the recert/carve-out and the answer was "yes". BTW, I have notes of who I spoke with, what they said they needed and when they said it. This includes talking with the person who was in charge of processing the carve-out. She was nice enough to check while we were on the phone to see if they needed anything else. The answer was "no".

The recertification dept. went ahead and approved the recertification and ASSUMED that the info would come later.

The lesson I learned here is to avoid Kaiser when possible as we have more problems with them than any other carrier. I also learned to not post stuff like this on this forum.
