Yes Keystone is a reputable 3rd party marketer for funeral preplanning. I believe the were mainly selling Forethought. I don't know if that is still the case.
If you are wanting to get into funeral preplanning they would be a decent training ground. You will likely be captive to them and will not be allowed to sell other insurance products including FE.
I've worked for SCI before. They are the Dignity people.
They used to pay good commissions and had some good talent. They switched to low salary and real low commissions.
Full of underachievers and misfits.
Worked for a SCI location that sold to Keystone, the first thing to understand is that they are funeral home companies, they are not insurance companies or providers. They sell preneed funerals and fund them through insurance, as Keystone has been sold, you need to look at all the lawsuits from SCI employees and make your decision from there.
You do need to know you are selling funeral and cemetery spaces, not insurance, (just funded through insurance) you will be attending and helping at funerals and visitations. SCI then wants you to hit up the family and attendees to pre-plan their funeral .
Nothing wrong with that, it is possible to make decent money, but be clear, it's not an insurance sales job
