I was in an IMO that had a 20 lead per week for 600.00. When canceled they had 20 leads in house for the next week.
I had 1900 in the account to cover any leads that came in after I canceled.
A few weeks later that 1900.00 was spent on leads coming in from the previous mail sent out.
After a few more weeks I receive a call saying I own another 1900 because more leads kept on coming in. When I asked to see when the cards were mailed out from the vendor, I was told they had a spreadsheet-. Well spreadsheets can be filled out and someone can put any date. It would happen weekly when I would login to the CRM they provided. I asked multiple times to get either a copy of the cards showing when they were mailed out or something that would in some way satisfy that they had not just forgotten to stop the mail.
(I truly believe they did not stop the mail)
Now several months later I receive a letter from a collection agency attempting to collect the debt from my old upline. I feel bad for him but he is just as much at fault of the IMO they both refused any help other than to say I just needed to pay it.
I hate to give money to attorneys but that looks like my only option. Anyone have some advice or an attorney that would like to sue an IMO (they lost several cases in the last 3 years between treating 1099 agents as employees and for several other issues).
