Let's chew on the fat for awhile: The GLP-1 dilemma persists into 2025

Can't say I blame them. These drugs are insanely expensive, and it's not an insurers job to pay for and manage people's weight loss journey, when easy lifestyle habits can easily address the issue.

For some people it isn't "easy". People who are overweight to the degree you have to be to get these drugs have more medical issues. It may well be cheaper to help pay for weight loss than pay for the medical issues that come from being that overweight.

Whether it's easy or not isn't the issue. Paying for these insanely expensive drugs is not my responsibility when people need to make meal and exercise adjustments. It might not be easy, but that's life. Some things are hard. There are also many cheap natural solutions that should be explored, first, before going right to extremely expensive big pharmaceutical drugs. And when you factor in the many side effects of these drugs, possibly saving money down the road is highly debatable.
