Well, here is my first post in the Life forum!
I work for a relatively small agency, there are four of us, and we are what you would consider a "bank agency" as the bank and insurance agency are owned by the same entity and we share the buildings with them (3 locations, one office doesn't currently have an active insurance agent).
We have one agent that is life and health licensed and she has been hinting at me for the year+ that I've been here, that I need to go and get mine taken. I'm just curious of the test difficulty (if anyone has taken it recently)?
I passed the P & C licensing and crop insurance license both on the first attempt with minimal studying. However, I did work for an insurance company, on the corporate side, for my first five years out of college. The crop license was simple, but that was because I was essentially thrown to the wolves last spring with the crappy weather we had, and I had to learn a lot on the fly to assist when our one crop agent couldn't handle all the customers.
So, I'm just curious how difficult this test might be, or if it's two different tests for life and health. I'm located in Iowa, if that makes a difference, and I do have some interest in annuities as well. Thoughts?
