Life Or health insurance sales ?

Obviously it's not something that happens over night and one site won't do it. I can't imagine having a business without some sort of Internet presence these days.

Sorry, Bill, but I have never been shy about the truth.

I write 5 - 10 cases a year from my websites and I never talk to these folks. Nice, but not enough to make my day (or week or month).

I pick up another 20 or so sales a year from my sites, but only because I follow up and walk them thru.

Nothing is easy or fast in this business. If it is, you probably did something wrong.

Just having a little fun, not being a pessimist, and would be the first to commend the poster that has that sort of enthusiasm for the bizness.

I've got a friend who is in the lead biz and has been for quite some time, and you're right, its not easy or cheap.

My website is mainly for me and my clients, so they can see my beautiful picture, anytime they need. I don't think anyone has done an application without calling me first or right after.

I don't deceive myself about its efficacy. A lot of people do though, and throw away $1000's thinking that they are somehow going to beat the odds against people spending millions. Its kind of pathetic really.

So you have a pic of Michael Corleone on your site?

Yeah, I know you were having fun with me. And I do agree a website is a must in todays world. It allows you to be "out there" 24/7.

I have a guy reworking (actually building) my site. Should be ready by January or earlier. I am trying to make it content rich without overwhelming the visitor and making more intuitive and easy to navigate.

Probably just my nature, but I like to give a lot of information to visitors to separate myself from the other "PLEASE buy from me right now" sites.

I (not so) jokingly tell folks the only sites you can put up and make money in a passive manner are those that have pictures of naked ladies. Everything else takes time, money and a lot of effort.

Working health first makes sense to me so, should I get licensed for medicare supplement/Long term care also? I don't know if these two go hand in hand or not. I was planning on life next but I'm learning as I go, as usual.

Thanks!

Health (under age 65), life, Med Supp & LTCi are different sales to different markets. Try to master all and you will fail at most.

Pick one and focus on it. (I am sure there is a thread about this already).

Some agents find it relatively easy to switch from life to health and back again. I sell mostly health and back end the life but not as much life as I could be selling if I pushed it more.

If you try too much you will spread yourself too thin and not be successful at anything.

Somarco,

It appears I owe you at least .25 by now.

You are close enough I believe I may have to drive down and buy you a McD double cheese oneday. ;)
