Logging into Carriers to Check Updates on Policies

Nothing in particular. Just habit now to log into it everyday when I'm checking all the other sites.

I try to stay away from my DOIs site. When I go there I tend to find confusing info like them posting it is illegal to door knock a seniors door (obviously when I called them they had no guidance on how to tell it was a senior behind the door).

My DOI told me that they give no guidance at all... they arent allowed to... this was from a senior investigator in the life division.

All he was allowed to do was give me the section of code that pertained to my question.

When I asked him for the DOIs definition of a certain term within that code, he told me that they are not allowed to give guidance or opinion on the sc insurance code.

I asked him who can, and he tells me to hire a lawyer who specializes in insurance litigation to advise me!! :err:

But, he said that if there was a complaint against me that he was then allowed to give opinion about that section of the code as it related to the complaint..... :1baffled:

Keep in mind that this guy just happened to be a former agent and was well aware of the absurdity of the conversation.... he was also the only life investigator in the office who had ever worked as a life insurance agent :1eek:
