Long Term Outlook of the Commercial P&C Biz

Mr Golf, What is your view on the future outlook for non health employee benefit sales to white collars? Thanks.

NYC is a tough market for commercial P&C.

It is all brokerage wholesale business since carriers don't give out direct appointments in the city no matter how large you are.

Brokerage wholesale business and coastal guidelines will drive you nuts in the city.
 
That's good to know. I guess the best way to attack commercial P&C in the city is to attach yourself to a huge agency. I assume the USIs of the world don't use wholesalers
 
The North East in general is a tough market for P&C. Besides the required experience/appointments NY NY or any of the those places are extremely hard to prospect. The cost of meetings due to parking,travel time etc is so high.

USI most likely does not use a wholesaler hahaha!!!! - maybe a little for E&S (hard to place business)

The role of the commercial insurance broker is stronger then ever. Too many products with ever changing business/industries for technology to replace.

plus how are you gonna have drinks and golf with a computer ;)
