Looking for a Career in Insurance

Hello everyone, my name is Sean and I'm interested in starting a career in insurance. I'll be receiving my A.D. Banker learning materials in the next few days and cant wait to get started preparing for the state exam. I'm new to the Kansas City area and I've been working in the bicycle retail business for almost 7 years now, but after moving here (and realizing I'm not getting any younger) I'm looking for more of a "career" and not just a "job". I've spoken with my insurance agent and she dropped a pretty heavy hint that her boss is looking for someone with sales experience and P&C license. So, off I go down the road to getting my P&C license. I've already been reading over the forums here for some time now and all of the knowledge I've gained through everything that has been shared is really what helped me decide that this is something I want to do. So, thank you all for all of the wonderful information and I hope that I'll be able to contribute what I learn and help prospective agents down the line. Also, if by chance, anyone is in or around the Kansas City area, I would love to chat about the insurance business or learn more about the market here in KC. Glad to be here and look forward to interacting with everyone on the forums.
