Looking for Dental Plan for my Family...

Because Humana sux ballz. I have an in network dental plan that is worse than any HMO I have ever read about, really stinks, crappy dentists and only one in my area within 20 miles that takes this meatloaf sandwich product.

I am looking for a dental plan for a family of 3. I want to use my regular dentist that I have been using for 15 years, not some boiler room that tries to scam you with $500 "deep cleanings" to justify them being on the "plan" and I want to be able to speak English not Engrish or Spanglish to my dentist. Oh yea, no dirty office either.

I called my dentist, the take the following:

Delta Dental
Cigna Radius
United Healthcare

Anyway I can get a family plan with one of these without having it tied to a group health plan? Looking to move fast on this, or if you have another company we can see if my dentist will take them. I dont want a discount plan, I want "real" dental surance!

Yes they have been frustrating for those of us who were using them for the Senior Market, up until Feb, but I think it is still a great option for under 65.

Since the company pays you - network is not an issue. You can go to any dentist.

Major: covered after 1 yr

- 70% After 1st Yr
- 80% after 2nd Yr
- 90% after 3rd

Minor Services covered immediately
- 60% - 1st yr
- 70% - 2nd
- 80% 3rd
- 90% 4th

Jon, He is right, and if the client sends invoice and "ADA" standard form, they will pay dentist directly. As you know you just have to choose the plan that sux the least, for the lowest premium. It is usually just "carington" with a different brand name, in this case Medico,

I just sent in the contracting for Medico. They have the best stand alone product I've seen. It includes vision and hearing. Decently priced. None of them seem to give a family rate.
