Looking to Move into Insurance....multiple Roadblocks,

I don't know about the other companies that resemble MLMs, but I work with WFG and we do own our own book of business. :) Working with a company such as ours also gives discounts on the licensing/pre-licensing training that working on your own does not afford you. Yes, the commissions are lower, but we are also not obligated to fill quotas as you would working with most other companies, so there's certainly give and take on the advantages.

Welcome to the forum Audrey.

By owning your book you could leave WFG today and continue to service and sell your book?
By lower, at what first comp and renewals do you start? I do not a single independent that has a quota. Whether it is for leads or to keep a job.

We got another one.

Licensing isn't expensive.

The only companies that have quotas to hit are the career agencies. Most of us here are independent agents with no minimum production requirements to maintain our contracts.

At least you understand that the commission are lower... until you build your own team. After that, I think it tops out at 65%.

For some reason, I bet you're a little more detail oriented than the average WFG agent that comes on here and posts. Maybe it's because you're focused on who owns your book, personal production requirements, and costs. These are things that real agents really think about... rather than "raking in millions by building a downline".

So kudos to you for that.
