Hi everyone,
I'm not currently an agent of any sort, but looking to see if I can find information on making a possible career switch.
A little about myself: I'm 25, with a B.A. in communications and have a surprisingly great job for my age. My former boss left the company a year after I was hired straight out of college- so the company did the cost-effective thing and they threw me to the wolves; re-naming the "director" position my boss held into a "manager" position for me. Thus paying me substantially less.
I know I am an excellent, capable employee. I'm detail oriented, personable and driven. However, I'm feeling unappreciated (and underpaid) as of late and thinking of a career makeover.
That being said, I want to be successful for myself- not my company. Which lead me to ponder the prospects of the insurance industry.
I'm going to try to start a new thread soon asking advice in general- how to get started, etc.
So, that's why I'm here. And hello again!
