LTC Coverage for a 78 year old female?

Shes looking at a massive annual premium for a traditional policy of any real worth.

I have always liked Mutual of Omaha the best. Been using them for 25 years.

But she will be put under a microscope during underwriting. Be prepared.

My advice is to look into a shortterm recovery policy, specifically Aetna or Gtl--However they are not in all states. I wrote a 79 year old lady a while ago an aetna policy. In a year she started using the policy.

as a FYI, Aetna will write an 87 year old if the product is available in that state.

Good luck finding anyone healthy enough at 78 or 87 though.
