Mutual of Omaha has discounted rates for men to begin with. It’s class 1 pricing will be the same or better premium than Standard rates with other companies. Bottom line is your client is overweight and is a sub-standard risk. Write the Omaha policy for your client so long as your client is comfortable with a $5000 monthly LTC benefit or less and a 5 year BP or less. Omaha’s pricing is very reasonable and its policy is very good.

What Jack said.

National Guardian Life's EssentialLTC will allow that under their Standard underwriting category. Just keep in mind there are 2 classes above standard; Preferred Best and Preferred. They may be worth checking out if both spouses are applying, as they have joint pricing and a 3rd pool of benefits as a Shared Benefit rider.

Preferred Plus is NGL’s Preferred category.
Preferred is NGL’s Standard category.
Standard is NGL’s sub-standard category.

Mutual of Omaha’s LTC policy is a better insurance contract for what it is worth.
