My 1st instinct was to correct JD and put that it should be smarmy, because I'd never heard the word swarmy...but I went ahead and looked up swarmy and they basically mean the same thing.:twitchy:

Nothing to correct either way, this is what I said,

"It just seems swarmy, {is that a word?},"
 
Speaking of old sayings by dads, here is one my father beat into me as I was growing up. "Look with your eyes, not your mouth" I always hated it, but I find I use it sometimes with my kids now. Makes sense now.

That's not too bad. My dad always said, "I brought you in this world and I can take you out."

OK I'll add one of my dad's old sayings. "You do poor work, but at least you're slow". His spiritual gift was encouragement.
