As discussed, in a socialist system, the private sector is not eliminated. Usually, a few major companies into enter cahoots with the government to get a sweetheart deal and the work together to squash all the second and third tier players.

As you can see, we are right on schedule for Kaiser, United Health etc. to cut major deals with the government.

United knows the game well. They have contracts with the UK government. That is how they scooped Simon Stevens who was formerly Tony Blair's senior health policy advisor. There is always an incestuous relationship between a handful of big corporations and the government in a socialist system but after the commies threaten to eliminate the private sector you end out feeling thankful that there are some companies left standing. It is just the way the commies work.

This article proves that point and also is a reminder that in the end the plan will be a camel which is a horse designed by a committee.

This is the part that p*sses me off.

"Most of the 30 million consumers in the exchanges would have government subsidies to help pay premiums."

That is just wrong and unamerican unless these "subsidies" only go to gimps who can't afford underwritten plans. Of course this is not their intention.
