Producer Focus: Special Edition - CMS Initial-Year Commission Payments - Potential Delay

UnitedHealthcare Insurance Company's commission and finance teams are on track to complete the necessary system developments in order to pay initial-year commission rates. However, on May 20, 2009, we were notified that the files we received from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) were incorrect. CMS has communicated that revised files will be provided; however, no estimated time frame has been specified.

Please note that if we do not receive this files within the next seven days, the payments originally targeted for the first week of June may be delayed. We continue to work diligently with CMS and our internal partners to expedite this process.

Look for updates on this issue in the Tuesday, May 26, 2009, edition of our agent e-newsletter, "Producer Focus," and be assured that we will continue to provide new information as it is made available.

Thank you for your support and patience throughout this process, and for your continued dedication to our members.

You mean to tell me that after 5 months our government still can provide the necessary documents for commissions to agents...Kinda scary thought about putting the goverment in charge of everyones healthcare.

LOL, This has become a total joke. I fill sorry for people that put faith in these companies to pay them.

Yeah, it's a joke. Just like it's a joke that I can't get my money on PDP plans I wrote 6+ months ago!

They can tally 100 million votes rapidly(within hours), for American Idol, but they can't pay an agent a commission from business written over 6 months ago.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it. If it is broke, we're screwed.

Just ridiculous.

Russ the reason is that its not the goverment counting those votes its a private business, motivated to get the job done.

News Flash --- CMS is hired to tally results for American Idol

2 days later the next news flash

American Idol currently has 10 contestants we at CMS in order to provide an orderly system will tally the results for 5 contestants now and in six months after the season finale we will tally the remaining contestants votes the current winner of American Idol may have there contract voided to allow the actual winner to recieved their compensation.

Follwing the 2nd news flash by 1 month

We regret to imform Fox that final tally data that we provided 6 months following the season finale of your popular show American Idol did not contain the correct information and that the tallys actually pertained to CBS's popular show Survivor season 2 not to be confused with the most recent Survivor series. We are in the process of tallying the results of the ABC show Extreme Home Makeover and will attempt to tally American Idol sometime after the end of the next season of American Idol.

Funny they (the government) does not have any problem "tallying up" how much to give GM or the MegaBank du jour. After Katrina they were busy issuing debt cards to anybody with a pulse within a 500 mile radius.

(No offense to the many deserving souls who STILL are homeless ect..)

Ya Right....United Healthcare.....seems to be the only company with a problem....the problem is they dont want to pay...period!!! ......their sooooo full of it.......time to start posting supervisors, directors, anyones and everyones phone numbers......I smell a rat and this time its not CMS I bet.......

I'm over United HealthCare, they treat my customers like crap, nothing but problems with claims pay, holding on the phone as an agent for over 20 minutes only to be disconected. I will never write for them again.
I was told over a month ago that cms sent them the list and it was unreadable by there system so they were waiting for another report to be sent, as of yesterday, still havent received it in proper format.
:skeptical:
Really sucks that I have lost just about everything due to this company.
