I can't imagine that anyone was or is counting on renewals from MA sales.

At a recent Medicare Advantage Breakfast Roundtable I attended (held at Denny's), most of the top company CEOs and the heads of CMS were saying, "Renewals? We ain't got no stinking renewals."

WRT UHC, about 2 years ago, I interviewed with them for a management position. It was one of the most ridiculous interviews I've ever been on. He did buy me dinner, but half of the interview was spent with him trying to pick up a woman at the next table that he had apparently been hitting on for a couple of days or at least throughout that day. (The interview was at a hotel.) He was real interested in screwing during the interview. Who knows what kind of screwing would have ensued if I had had the misfortune of landing the job, although I had no interest after witnessing his antics during the interview.

They already have... It is the Rent-A-Agent part of CMS's interpretation of MIPPA that ends your renewal commissions in five years.
