Rarely, usually duck hunting, as I did today, sore shoulder.

Sore shoulder is good, downed birds is even better. I hunt waterfowl until the ice comes in most years. Grabbing decoys out of freezing water isn't much fun, even with gloves.

If you do Mardi Gras in one day, you're surely not doing it correctly.

The best way is to go to NOLA and check in the Friday before Fat Tuesday and check out on Ash Wednesday. A crazier 5 days you'll never experience.

The Quarter Fest is my favorite. All local jazz bands in the quarter, unlike "Jazz Fest" w/ only a little jazz & in the middle of the horse track.
