Although it took me forever to try it, I have had pretty good success calling between 5:30 and 8:30 pm. I figured they would either be PO'd or in bed. Nope, they seem to be very receptive.
For a while I also called on Sunday late afternoon and evening for Monday appointments. That works also. Not nearly as much good luck calling on Saturdays though.
I think a lot of has to do with how comfortable and conversational you are when you speak to them. I just try to have a relaxed conversation with them.

I would recommend the first call as soon as you get the lead regardless of time. Follow ups in the later hours are a good idea, as are Saturdays as people are usually more relaxed. If you have a good presentation and you're not overly pushy and they are busy you can at least set up a call back as soon as possible.
With many people running from health over to Med Supps if you don't get them on the phone someone else will.
Personally, I had my best luck calling in the afternoons, after they have had their McDonald's coffee, and have seen the doctor, etc.
I rarely had luck calling after 6:00 p.m , Saturdays, and definitely I wouldn't call on Sundays. I think a lot of this depends on your attitude.
Example: I didn't want to call in the evenings and that was probably reflected in my voice;on the other hand, In the afternoons I had already called for an hour or so and was on top of my game.
