Medicare fix would push health care into the red - Yahoo! Finance

Nothing like spinning the truth at first of today and now this article.

You do realize you're quoting an article that was proven to be a Republican forgery later in the day. Someone leaked this forged memo to the press and claimed they had "found" it, then it got play in every news network. Pretty funny really, once you get over it being sad. There is easily enough in that bill to talk about without making more things up.

Hell maybe it was a devious counterplay by the Democrats who forged it themselves then made it appear the Republicans forged it, in order to make themselves look better and distract people from how they're about to pass that bill one way or the other.

Here's another "forgery" as you put it.

It will hit Florida seniors square between the eyes:

Seniors set to lose Medicare Advantage perk

"That is going to have a devastating impact," said Robert Zirkelbach, press secretary for America's Health Insurance Plans.
"Seniors in Medicare Advantage are going to see higher premiums, reduced benefits, and many seniors will lose benefits entirely."

Good old AARP, though, is already making hay with their support of the $500 billion in cuts to Medicare in the bill - trying to push more seniors into their more profitable Medicare Supplements...

A spokeswoman for AARP in Florida said those seniors would find traditional Medicare a more attractive alternative, as the so-called doughnut hole in prescription drug coverage is closed and preventive services are covered.

I put that as a forgery, because it was shown later in the day that a Republican operative forged and spread that document to the press. It was not a "forgery". They made that up.

You then go on to quote a lobbyist, about how forcing companies to spend 85% of the money they bring in on care is going to push costs up, which is completely illogical.

If you said that it might force some companies out of the market and cut agent commissions, I would believe you. The problem here is you guys are making things up rather than making the real argument, which itself has merit.

You do remember the fable of the boy that cried wolf right?
