The idea of delaying to 70 only works if you live that long.

The break-even age for delaying Social Security benefits until age 70 is around 82 years and 6 months. This is the age at which the total benefits received from waiting to claim Social Security equal the total benefits received from starting to claim them at age 62.

Living to 70 is your first challenge . . . living to age 82 (break even point) might be a bit more difficult.
