I'm looking at the "2010 Choosing a Medigap Policy" and on page 11 at the top of the page it says, "Medigap Plans with effective dates through May 31, 2010".
In there is states that Plan G pays 80% of Medicare Part B Excess Charges. That is a correct statement.
I assume the page she looked at on line probably had the same statement, she may not have read all the information and only looked at the chart.
All you have to do is show her the outline of coverage from any company and they all now have the benefits of the new standardized plans.
She just didn't read carefully enough, maybe. Did you go to the same place she did and read everything?
Yeah I had hoped that this was the case however after a careful look at the page, no such date disclosure is present. I emailed her the 2010 choosing a medigap guide with referenced page numbers so she can see for her self. Tried calling this evening with no luck catching her. I am not going to let this one die over something as stupid as this. Ill go knock on her door with the book in my hand if need be.
I wouldn't call her, I definitely go see her with the book in one hand and the Outline of coverage showing the June 1, 2010 date in the other. I would make her my "hobby" until that one was sold.
Today I was on the phone with a potential customer explaining to them the difference between plan F and Plan G. I was specifically talking about the change to the plan g excess charge coverage from 80 to 100% coverage effective as of june 1st 2010. She proceeded to go onto medicares website to verify what I was telling her only to find that medicare website only says 80% still!!! Ofcourse the has temporarily hurt my credibility with her. I then called down to medicare to get this straightened out only to be told that according to thier records THERE WHERE NO CHANGES TO PLAN G EXCESS CHARGE COVERAGE!!! She told me that I can write a letter to CMS if I want. As of this point I am at a dead end! My potential customer has bad information and there is no way that I can prove it to them! Any words of wisdom would be greatly appreciated.
The Medicare website seems to crash everytime I use it
