And Dems think MAPD is a giveaway to the insurance companies. I think a lot of people forget which administration it was that gave us Part D.Republicans are definitely pro-MAPD. They want private companies to provide their Medicare benefits rather than the govt. I thought that was a given.

And then they'll complain that more and more people are choosing MAPD. They won't be happy until everybody (except maybe themselves) is on Medicaid from cradle to grave, although they may call it "Medicare."Didn't take much to run this train off the tracks.
IF this is implemented as laid out, it will destroy the OM/Medigap market. Unless DC is going to subsidize premiums .. . . which of course will solve everything.
All carriers, at least the ones that remain, will be impacted as will the Medicare beneficiaries regardless of the way they voted.
