MedSupp Plans Cover Therapy/counseling?

Medigap plans only pay the potential out of pocket for Medicare covered services. Medicare does pay for psychiatric services so the Medigap plan would pay.
Medigap plans do not add benefits.

Much appreciated. I had a client direct me to this site Acus Therapy Services - INSURANCE At the bottom you can see " We do not accept Medicare, but are researching whether there are supplemental plans that would cover counseling. "
How do I explain that to my client? or better yet, how do I explain Medicare to the shrink?

Just explain that Medicare is the primary insurance and medicare supplemental is the secondary insurance. As such, supplemental will only pay on claims that are approved by the primary insurance, Medicare. If they are not able to file a Medicare claim and have it approved, they will not receive reimbursement from medigap.

Sounds plausible, but why do I think someone looking for psychiatric help might not catch the drift keem o sabe?
