Mental health (For reals)

Why did my insurance go up? If have no claims, and no tickets! Get me quotes (no please, or thank you)!
Why is my home insurer dropping me (yelling/angry/swearing)?
Why did my business insurance double? Get me another co (cursing me out)!
Sorry agent, we are pulling out of the state and cutting your commission (not even a phone call, just a poorly written, cold email)!
Staff battered and beat up every day (me too).

Yea.....I'm shaken....

Pretty bad. Frequent blow ups, almost daily. Feeling of dread walking into the office. Seriously planning an exit strategy if things continue down this path. Life is far too short to sit in an office 8+ hours a day getting yelled at or arguing with carriers over every little thing.

Believe it or not, I'm starting to see signs of hope here in FL P&C. Our prices have always been high, but the real insanity started right before Covid, so we've been dealing with this for around 5 years now. But just in the last month or two, I'm starting to see renewals with much smaller increases, and even some small decreases. I'm not sure we'll see prices drop to pre-insanity levels, but just leveling off feels like an improvement.

Still losing markets here in Iowa. Midway through Year 3 of ownership of the first agency, and then bought another one last year. It's been stressful, and a whole different type of stress than when I was just producing and servicing.
Struggling to find markets for things that used to be easy to place, have had more interest in quotes in the past two months than the rest of the year, but no markets.
Luckily, if a guy can retain what he has, the rate increases certainly help the bottom line.

Hang in there...
