MGAs Take Over the Agent's Role in the Exchanges?

In CA we may found out pretty soon. Both AB 1602 and SB 900 are sitting on Arnold's desk awaiting approval or veto.

These bills will set up the CA Health Insurance Exchange this year.

Paid for by IOU's? Seriously, who will be fronting the money for that?

Yep, and they will have a "HealthCare Exchange Kiosk" in every WalMart , Walgreens and CVS. Just press the red button on the kiosk if you need assistance. This will be available to those without computers or internet access.
Insurance Agents grab your ankles!

Doubtful...because by the time they come to the pharmacy they will already have scripts...so the place to setup the kiosk is at the DRs office and ER.

It would be interesting to see if these go into effect. The rest of the country can watch and see that no carriers will participate in the exchange for a reasonable premium.
