It looks like Microsoft will bring out its own phones and tablets:

Have you been living under a rock?

Arguably Windows has had tablets out for years (running different versions of windows) and they've been dying to get into the market. In fact, they have had windows mobile based phones for years (I'm guessing 10?).

I believe the announcement is for Microsoft to actually introduce Microsoft hardware.

I seem to recall these being their last forays into the hardware market:

If you look carefully, you will notice the actual company name "Microsoft" on the hardware product.

I was unaware that Microsoft had brought out either a phone or tablet of it's own, although I think Apple may have paved the road for them.

And no, I don't live under a rock.
