Montana health insurance prices for individuals and families are appearing to be very affordable. Open Enrollment will commence in October and effective dates of plans will be in January of 2014.
Three major carriers released prices. They are PacificSource, Montana Health CO-OP and Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Montana. Of course, prices will be different, depending on age and type of policy that is purchased.
The federal subsidy was not included in these rates. Insurance Commissioner Monica Lindeen was very enthused with the pricing, pointing out that pre-existing conditions will now be covered.
