Monumental and Death Claims

I have a death claim with them at the moment. Its been 3 months and nothing, just got a letter this week saying the hospitals aren't wanting to send them the documents they are looking for so now they are asking the beneficiary to get the records for them, EXCUSE ME!??!?!?
"Your father died and now we need you to do all the legwork if you wanna get paid"....horrible!

It was within the contestable period, but every piece I submit with them takes FOREVER to get issued, have to refax stuff constantly and answer emails about info on the apps.

What do you want them to do if the provider will not send medical records?

After dealing with Foresters for the last month, and still waiting on my commission, now reading this about Monu...(who I have actually had good luck with, crossing fingers here), starting to wonder if any of these FE companies are actually 'user friendly'.

Some are. RNA is usally user friendly but they will have their moments of business prevention. Settlers is pretty easy to deal with. Just a tad slow on processing.

5 Star is pretty good once you get someone on the phone. That's very difficult right now though.

AmCon is about the top for me. I wish they had better rates. They would be my "go to" company is rates were better.

Some are better than others, but you also have to realize they are waiting on information regarding the death to ensure it is a valid claim (contestible period). Doctors and hospitals are not always the fastest at providing this info. It is easy to just say pay it since it is their money, if it was your cash paying the claim I am sure it would be a different story.

Outside of the 2 yr window, most are pretty quick once they receive the claim form and death certificate.

Just curious what is it about the rates that you don't like, I mean what are you concerned about? Is it someone coming in behind you?? or what is it? because I know you could sell someone on the idea of paying a little more to be with a better company.

They are just too high. I would sell someone a higher rate just because the company is easier for me to deal with. I tell people that I'm going to get them the best value that they can qualify for.

I did just have one where AmCon was 50 cents a month more that the next best. I did tell that guy that I liked dealing with AmCon better than the other company. He went with AmCon. But I think it was more the Aetna name too than what I said.

For that guy's wife AmCon was $11 more per month. I just couldn't place her there.

So they aren't as customer friendly as they are agent friendly? Have you had to deal with any claims with them?

I believe he meant wouldn't.

Have to respect people like JD. Lots of integrity.

I also use them for Insulin use before age 40, who do you use for that, also over 100 units per day?
