Does Moumental consider taking the maitnence drug Pacerone for a pacemaker installed over 4 years ago " treatment".The reason I ask is wrote a policy recently where all the answers where answered no and it went through underwriting no problem .Later I find out while talking to her about health insurance that she has been taking a maitnence med for her pacemaker called Pacerone.I didn't even know she had a pacemaker because it was had been over 4 years since it was installed so she cleared those questions asking about heart surgery in the last 4 years.Doesn't Monumental do a MIB and a script check.I am assuming they would have seen this on the MIB but they didn't call the insured or me.If it should have been answered yes then it should have been issued as standard and not preferred.

I'm not sure how they treat that medication but they most certainly do an MIB and an Rx check. Unless they are getting it from the VA or paying cash Monumental would know they are taking it andI can't imagine a case where they wouldn't alert you to a problem.

Doesn't having a pacemaker automatically make her standard with monumental? I'm pretty sure that was the company I tried to put one through a month or so so with a PM that came back standard.

On Florida application the question about the surgey for pacemaker goes back only 1 year which sheis ok becauset it was done 4 years ago.The about" treatment " for any heart surgery goes back 2 years so would a maintence med definitely be considered a " treatment" Is it possible Monumental saw this on the MIB and still gave her a preferred rating ?

In a very loose general statement Monumental treats several heart meds as maintenance. The drug in question could be considered maintenance.

Can't you call Monumental and ask them how they treat this med without giving a specific client's info?

Like I said I'm not 100% sure if it was monumental or not but the company considered a pacemaker as current treatment. This client has had the pacemaker for 20 yrs. I have never had a company treat it that way.

Does the VA not report meds?

THanks

This is Standard with monumental.

With this case of yours You can write a good level with Foresters or american cont. just to name a couple ..
