More Uncommisionable MAPD Plans - Blue Cross (Chicago Market)

Absolute insanity what is going on……

Plans not paying commission are literally all the good plans that most people want…..

-Medicare Advantage Dental Premier PPO
-Medicare Advantage Health Choice PPO
-Medicare Advantage Saver Plus PPO
-Medicare Advantage Elite PPO
-Medicare Advantage Classic PPO

Plans Still Paying are….

-All HMO’s
-Medicare Advantage Choice Premier PPO
-Medicare Advantage Choice Plus PPO
-Medicare Advantage Essential PPO

2 out of the 3 PPO’s that do pay commission have a monthly premium. One is $84 and the other is $152. And the benefits given for the high premiums are not justified at all. Crazy.

Thanks, Democrats!

BCBS?

Yes. Sorry, in my rage I forgot to include that. And this is the company that's also gonna be purchasing Cigna's Medicare Advantage division. So commission for another company will go to the wayside, soon. They have messed Medicare Advantage up so much.

BCBS doesn’t let you even sell in all States and they are run completely different from state to state so this is not a worry.

You’re right about the different states. I hope you’re right overall not to worry. It’s a bit of a huge blow for my state, however. They have essentially removed themselves from the Medicare Advantage market, basically here, and unfortunately are taking Cigna with them soon.

How the heck is the Democrats fault?

Whats super interesting is that it’s the opposite in TX. And the same parent company, HCSC.

I’m blaming Integrity. They sued to keep overrides but didn’t include commissions?

And where the heck is NABIP and HAFA?

Supposed "Inflation Reduction Act" adding tons of extra cost burdens. In addition to CMS (filled with Democrat bureaucrats) making it much harder for the plans to qualify for higher star ratings. Higher star ratings = more funding. Would also love to know where NABIP and HAFA are, too. Not a peep. You would also think the FMO's would be all over this, too, as this has a huge effect on them, too, obviously.
