Motorists Life??

I got a job offer from Motorists Life selling final expense insurance here in Ohio and would be put on a lead program where they start you off with 20 leads a week and charge you 20 dollars a piece for them. Then as you get better they gradually work your way up to 35 people a week. They offer a discount on the leads depending on your annual premium you sold. They sell both Motorists Life and Chesapeake Life as well. The leads are direct mail that has been sent back in to the company. As far as commission goes they give you 75 percent of the first year premium.

My questions is 1) Does this sound like a good opportunity for someone new? and 2) What have people heard about people making a good career at Motorists Life??

Sounds like a doable plan. I think Motorists is a pretty good all around company. I would think your lead cost should be a little less since you are taking a lowered commission but if they are starting you from scratch and training you it's probably OK.

I'm not sure I would jump on board just yet. Like Newby said the cost of leads should be lower. Do you have the opportunity to move up to a higher commission?

Monumental has a good lead program and you get 105% commission. From what I understand you will be assigned a manager that will over look what you are doing.

Motorists is a good company with good rates, but 75% and $20 leads you can find better.

Well i kinda plan on it being a introduction and a start into the insurance industry. i am sure there are better companies out there but you have to get started somewhere learning the ropes and this to me seems like a good place to start.

If you are comfortable with the situation then go for it.

This forum contains alot of info on how to in the FE field.

Good Luck
