This might come through as long winded, for that I am sorry.
I am a licensed health/life/medicare agent in North Carolina. I will be moving to SC in December. I own my book of business. I have obtained my non-resident license in SC. What i need to know is...
How do I make this transition of switching the resident license to SC?
How do I make this as seamless as possible?
Do I lose the ability to sell in either state during the transition phase?
Do I continue to receive my commissions from my NC cleints during this time? (All details in this section are helpful!)
Would it be better to stay in NC just on the edge of SC or will this be a lot easier then I anticipate?
A little background. I am getting a divorce and the move is necessary. But I have options as to the location. I am contracted with UHC for my medicare sales and they were pleased with the SC choice so I would like that to come to fruition.
I have googled every possible insight and simply cannot find what I need to know.
Thanks in advance
Melissa
