Mutual of Omaha Raising Rates

I hear that Mutual will be raising rates on supps in July.

Anybody know what % increase this will be? 5, 6 or more??

Depends on what state you're talking about.

Missouri has a 8-9% increase for 7/1.

Yep. 9% on A, F, and G. No mention of a rate change for J.

How long has United of Omaha been in Missouri? It's just rolling out in some states and hasn't yet made it to others.

They rolled out last July. They added J a bit later and now with it not taking a rate increase it'll be real competitive. Missouri gets some pretty fast rate increases due to our GI law. That law does about as much harm as good IMO.

Mutual raised there rates in Pa in the past 12 months.Yes I know companies have rate increases, but in a lot of zips they have become one the most expensive companies! Even more than
United American.Clients were not to happy!
So along came United World.(One of Mutual of Omaha's children) Great rates again, but in round numbers you will take a 50% reduction in commission.(Internal replacement)
I suspect in 24 months I will have the same Issue with United
World.I guess at that point I will meet a new child.
