As everyone who has a CA insurance license knows (or should know by now) that 2025 introduces a number of new CE requirements.

  • If you sell cash value life insurance, you are required to take a 4-hour life insurance 2025 CE course.
  • If you sell variable life insurance, you are required to take a 2-hour variable life insurance 2025 CE course.
  • If you sell annuities, you are required to do a new initial 8-hour 2025 annuities best interest CE course AND a 4 hour annuities best interest CE course.
This is in addition to the existing ethics CE requirement, long-term care CE (if you sell long term care insurance), and the new Anti-Fraud CE course.

For the life insurance course, I used UIECE.com. They offer both of the cash value life insurance courses.

For the 2025 annuity CE courses, I used Lytespeed learning for both the initial 8-hour CE and a 4-hour CE.

(I did use Noble CE for a 4 hour course that "supposedly" counted, but it wasn't recognized for the 2025 requirement.)

For the rest of my CE, I still use Sandi Kruise for an unlimited CE package for $54.95 which includes many of the required CE courses (ethics, LTC, anti-fraud, AML, etc.), but does not yet have the new 2025 CE courses.

I hope this helps so no one has any surprises or doesn't know where to go to get your CE done before you sign apps and submit to the companies.

Aging out does not apply if you're still selling contracts that have CE requirements.

CAUTION: Any licensee that markets long-term care contracts or offers to sell annuity products is still required to meet the specific education requirements for marketing such contracts.

I'm sure that link may need to be updated to include cash value life insurance (including whole life final expense contracts) new 2025 requirements.
