I purchased 60 live autodialed transfer leads for final expense to see how I would do. Here is my experience:I paid 360.00 for 60 transfers, after 40 I had sold 3 policies with a total commission of approx. 2000.00 if all apps are approved. Here's my dilemma, the other morning I turned the dialer back and my first 6 contacts or so, said they were on the DNC and wanted my name, company name, and phone number.I am very reluctant to finish dialing the remaining leads,I did get a couple of people say they were on the DNC while calling the first 40 but they were different as the didn't ask for my info.Do you think the last bunch was a coincidence, would you dial the last bunch?

I would dial them, you paid for them. Gotta ask whoever is providing you with leads if they are dnc scrubbed. Also theres about a two week lag time between putting your name on the dnc and having it be effective, maybe ask the people (if you didnt already hang up on them) when they put their number on the list.

I've had this with other calls. Given that I don't want to call people on the do not call list, I've apologized and asked if they would like to have me verify they show up on the do not call list so I could fix the problem. I do this very sincerely.

Once I check, not once has somebody actually been on the list (I assumed this, since I always scrub). Either they fell off, or, where never on the list. I then go over with them how to get on the list, and how to verify it themselves.

If you have actually scrubbed the list (or the company making the dials did for you), I wouldn't worry about it. I would verify the list has been scrubbed though.

Sometimes, "I'm on the DNC list" means "I'm on the DNC list."

Sometimes, "I'm on the DNC list" means "I want to scare telemarketers into not calling here anymore, and this has proven an effective method of blowing them off."

Grab a free DNC telemarketer subscription, check the numbers, and if they're not on there keep dialing away.

If it's a lead, they probably opted in to getting info, so you can legally call them even if they're on the DNC list. They key is to finding out how the lead was intially obtained.

Leads are (usually) initiated by the individual . . . with or without enticement.

Names are just that. Names that may or may not be interested in your product.

Leads don't have to be scrubbed against DNC. Names do.

Since I got a couple of private messages asking what the heck I was talking about with a free telemarketer's subscription to the DNC, I thought I'd just come back and post it here:

National Do Not Call Registry

Register as a new user and get five area codes for free. That should be enough to look at your dialer whiners and figure out if they're actually on the DNC or not. Six and up cost $54 a pop.

$54 a pop??

Are you kidding me?

I guess your not...after checking out the link you provided it seems more like a nightmare.

$54 an area code?

Florida has 16 area codes.....so first 5 are free, then for the rest it would cost me $594 just for FL per year!

And People think telemarketers are crooks!

So register under 3 names, get 15 for free and don't call into one area.
