Nassau Financial to Acquire Foresters' U.S. Life Business

According to the announcement and news coverage, the sale is the final unwinding of Foresters' purchase of First Investors in 2011. First Investors had a life insurance company affiliate, First Investors Life Insurance Company, which was renamed to the entity sold this week to Nassau Re. It's confusing and definitely a kind of devaluation of life and mainly annuity policies sold by First Investors and then Foresters through its investment advisory entity, but it appears to leave everything sold by legacy Foresters in place. Despite recent upgrades, Nassau Re is not among the highest rated insurance companies, whereas Foresters is.
What's Nassau's A.M. Best rating?

Seems like fully underwritten life policies move at a snail's pace now. Probably the last time I'll write with them. When you call in agent services seem to be handled overseas now.
