I have a male, age 59 NT, 6'2" 240 lbs with type 2 diabetes for which he is prescribed Metformin. He had a stent implanted in an artery near his heart 10+ years ago and sees a cardiologist annually, otherwise he is in good health. He is interested in 15 to 30 year policy for $200,000 plus. Also, he lives in Delaware.

Do you guys have any suggestions?

Med - I would look at Banner, AIG and Protective. Depending on the factors I would quote a range of T2-T4 - BP, Sleep Apnea, DM complications, A1C? If all is very good he would have a shot at Std but I would quote with the Tables. Of the above, I would show the lowest cost and Protective Choice UL. The year 21 / age 80 premiums are significantly different.

Non Med = United Home Life 20 yr or twenty yr ROPTerm. A $100,000 ROP would have a RdPdUp of $64,120 at his age 79 and zero out of pocket after.

If his numbers are really good maybe a GUL or a dialed down GUL.
